Question: Write a 750 word essay creating a response to articulate your personal position on the impact of multiple relationships. Multiple relationships are a typical ethical issue in the healthcare and helping professions. A multiple relationship arises where a professional engages in more than one relationship with a client at the same time, for example, a professional and social, personal, or community relationship. Such scenarios may have an impact on objectivity, professional judgment, and the welfare of the client. This paper outlines my personal position on multiple relationships, outlining the perspectives of Arnold Lazarus as well as explaining how I intend to strike the right balance between ethical considerations and be an effective and respectful healthcare professional.
