Comprehensive Healthcare Ethics Plan Supervision in an Addiction Treatment Center Ethical supervision plays a very important role in health, particularly in addiction treatment, since clients usually present with complex needs medically, emotionally, and socially. Supervisors must ensure that the care provided by community health workers is delivered safely and ethically, as close relationships with clients may give rise to issues related to boundary, cultural, and informed consent problems if supervision is weak. The community health workers can be considered frontline practitioners, educating and supporting the people with substance use disorder in the addiction treatment facilities.
